The amount of information on this board is awesome. I'm a single mother for 15 years and I feel so much more powerful already LOL. I have some more questions for you credit gurus: I was a Sprint PCS cellular customers when knocking out her cell tower contract with Cox Communications Service, where I lost it and work within 5 miles. Sprint waived the early termination fee, so that I could be a different company, but I had not at least 50% of my service for 3 months and it took 5 weeks to find out what was wrong with their service. I refused to pay for the last 2 months ($ 116), and they turned it over to Allied Interstate. These idiots have called me no less than 100 times! If a C do the trick u0026 D? (Is there a legend somewhere on the site, which decodes all the abbreviations Lol?)

rnAu?erdem: I have a lease on a 2000 Camry with Toyota Motor Credit have sucked. They estimated a $ 17k $ 23k car and charged me $ 459 per month. 2 years in the lease, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to because of a disability for a year to go. They repossessed the car and now list the remaining amount due on about $ 18k. Where did all those payments? What should I do with them? Thanks to a Nooooobie: hmmmmm:
Best Answer: Find out what's on your credit report. Contact the creditors that are trying to get you to pay. I'm sure you received letters in the mail, saying that you are late or they are going to repossess or something. Start paying something. Call the creditors.
Reply:Whoaaaaaa.
Reply:Please read the forum, especially stickies. You need to thoroughly educate yourself BEFORE you make any moves. Sending a C&D letter on a debt still within SOL gives the creditor no choice except to sue you. Don't pull that trigger unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences.
You treat a debt within SOL differently than a debt out of SOL. First of all, you need to understand the difference.
Educate yourself first. Knowledge is power!
Reply:The Sprint bill is less than a year old. I can't believe the lengths these people are going to just to harrass.
I didn't get any paperwork on the car after they came and got it. I was pretty sick at the time and not thinking about anything but that I had no transportation. I did see the car on the street soon after (same license plate) so they got their money out of it for sure.
Reply:Is the Sprint bill out of Statute? (has the SOL expired?) I would need to know that to dispense advice on this one.
Next, LEASES are not like purchase contracts. With a lease, you are NOT buying the car. Techicnally, you are renting a car for a few years then giving it back. What I suspect happened is that the lease holder summed up the remainder of the payments for the duration of the lease, Sold the car and added any deficiency, and there are mucho penalties and such for early termination of a lease so they probably added those as well. Did you get any paperwork about the disposal of the vehicle? How did your original contract read. What about your state laws? Did they follow proper procedure and dispose of the vehicle in a legal and equitable manner?
