Verizon: Live Reporting [credit bureau] [3 years]

Best Answer: You dispute this thru the 3 major credit reporting agencies…IE TransUnion, Equifax, et al.

If the creditor cant prove the debt, they MUST remove the mark in 30 days BY LAW.

Do everything in writing and send all written correspondence via Certified Mail-Retirn Receipt Requested…

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE do you tell the "creditor" that you will pay the bill, you you WILL be on the hook for the debt AND earn a negative mark to add insult to injury….

Reply:One customer service rep said a letter had gone out in July. I asked for a copy and they said they would send it (I didn't get it in July and I haven't gotten one since I've asked). The other sales rep said the same thing you reported, that only accounts in default should be reported. I have spoken to a couple of sales reps who have had no training on this or knowledge of this (yes, they claim they sent me a letter but their own cs reps don't know about this).

Reply:Ha, you weren't the only one who was VERY surprised when the current verizon-account showed up on the credit-report. I called them to see what's going on and the best thing was that they had no idea about this reporting (according to verizon, only accounts in default would be reported….).

Yeah, Verizon should at least tell their customer service that they started reporting on a regular basis, even on current accounts.

Your 100% right – I'll take care of this account, that's for sure…
